52. Thirty kilometres

This is as far as we got out of Cape Town on our second attempt to reach Namibia. Yes, that is thirty as in a 3 followed by a thick fat 0.  As we drive out of this great city, we ourselves feel great. Back on track with the car after six weeks. Six weeks, can you imagine?! Time flies my friends, time flies.

But like I said, we are happy to be travelling with the car again. Hearing the engine driving us further and further, feeling the wind in our … euh…my hair as we’re rolling, rolling, rolling… keep on rolling, rolling, rolling yeah…. And before we know it we are rolling our asses down to Cape Town again. The gear box does not shift into forth gear anymore. Same problem as before and off to the same garage. The specialist there are puzzled as the parts that were worn have all been replaced. So we leave the car there, pack a couple of things and return to what has become our second home: Saranne ‘s and Mandla’s place (Thx guys!!!!). Next day as we are visiting the Slave Museum we get the good news that the car is fixed. With the heat a little rubber thing had loosened.  They fixed it so it can never loosen again. Ok Namibia, here we come!
